Columbus Record Build - A very rare single speed build.

Attached is a photo of a single speed frame I have just completed, this is built from a full and complete set of Columbus Record tubing that has been dated via tube stampings to production time in the late seventies. Even the head tube was stamped. I bought this sight unseen and as soon as I opened the delivery packaging, I knew I had something very rare, it even came with olde original Columbus box that was used in that era.

I was faced with what to do with it, I had already built a single speed frame of similar sizing and my colleague who had rode that frame said in terms of handling it was 110%. So we resolved to make some subtle changes bringing in some of the geometric features of the Cinnelli Mash and Vigorelli framesets.
